Cisco API series of blogs intends to bridge the communication gap between the Cisco partner developers, customer success, delivery, renewals and leadership teams. In this series, I try to balance between sharing enough technical detail on the API and its possibilities from the data visualisation perspective. In this way, the partner stakeholders who are the consumers of this data and Insights can communicative their needs effectively with their development teams.
The first of the APIs i have selected is Lifecycle Insights API from the PX (Partner Experience) cloud platform. But before jumping in, lets take a look at the various use cases and business value for Cisco partners. By gleaning the data from these APIs and embedding in their own dashboards or their client facing portals, Cisco partners can reap enormous business benefits from access to new marketplace, adoption or renewal opportunities.

Lifecycle Insights API
The data from the Lifecycle Insights APIs are extremely useful for the Partner Customer Success Teams whether it is CSS, CSMs or the leadership teams. This API can be directly integrated into the partners IT system, client facing portals or any customer success platforms like Gainsight, Totango, etc. By leveraging the insights from this APIs, new lifecycle services can be developed and positioned to their customers CX cloud dashboard and address the customer needs and pain points.

Lifecycle Insights API – Data Visualisations
For Partner customer success teams who carry the baton of developing Lifecycle services or drive customer adoption and renewals, the insights from the Lifecycle APIs are extremely useful. The insights are very actionable, for example, the second chart below shows majority of their customers are in the Onboard stage which is a motivation for new lifecycle services to move them past to the subsequent stage. Further down, the last chart show the number of use cases by lifecycle pitstops and success tracks. Partners can further narrow down their scope of new lifecycle services development and position them accurately for specific pitstops.
